Hotspots (objects with notes) are identified with a dotted rectangle or flashing circle. See Fig. 1. Note: You can change the setting for the hotspot marker by clicking the style button.
The hotspot marker follows the object as it moves around in the scene.

The video will pause, highlighting the selected object and displaying a brief note description. See Fig. 2.

You can view all the note information by clicking the 'maximize' button in the upper right corner of the note box to expand the display.
Note: If the link is to another Asterpix video, you can navigate across videos within the player – see section below 'Navigating across videos'.

The selection list displays all hotspot selections. You can click on any of the items in the selection list to navigate to the scene that contains the hotspot.
The video advances to the scene that contains the hotspot. Click play to view the video scene.
If hotspots contain links to other Asterpix videos, you can navigate and browse through different videos within the Asterpix hypervideo browser.

You can also use the history bar dropdown menu to navigate to specific videos (or video selections) that you have viewed. This dropdown list contains all the Asterpix videos and hotspot selections that you have navigated to. Hotspot selections include the time range to the left of the title to differentiate them from videos. See Fig. 5.
